01 / Background

How I ended up at the intersection of technology and storytelling

Most career advice suggests choosing a lane: become an engineer who leaves marketing to the sales team, or become a marketer who treats technology as an external utility. I never found that division natural or honest.

When you understand how code runs, how APIs throttle, and how databases handle scale, your approach to communication changes. You drop the empty buzzwords and explain product value directly, with an honest understanding of how things work under the hood.

That instinct for narrative rigor was recognized early at the national level. As a national winner of Project Veer Gatha, organized by the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Education (Government of India), I was awarded national honors under my official legal record, Rushal Suthar, for chronicling the stories of India’s gallantry awardees. While Rushal Sharma is the name I carry day-to-day across all professional, creative, and community work, that formative discipline of primary-source research and ethical storytelling directly underpins how I build systems today.

02 / Operational Practice

Demand generation and distribution architecture

As a Demand Generation Specialist, my focus is building sustainable acquisition systems that compound over time: search intent, funnel optimization, technical content, and retained audiences.

Rather than chasing short-term viral spikes that vanish overnight, I build defensible distribution channels rooted in query intent, organic search, and genuine community engagement.

03 / Community & Collectives

Empowering regional voices and civic assembly

Alongside building StudioRavya, I invest energy into community initiatives and regional infrastructure. Working as an operational manager with Gazette Collective, I help steward decentralized civic newsrooms that train young writers, university students, and women fellows in slow, investigative reporting.

In 2024, I led operations for Google DevFest Udaipur, assembling 850+ developers and 18 technical speakers to prove that Tier-2 cities in Rajasthan can host broadcast-grade technical summits without corporate event agencies.

04 / Work Values

Speed, practical execution, and direct ownership

I respect small, focused teams who prioritize working software and real customer conversations over endless planning committees. I believe clear documentation beats verbal confusion under pressure, and that authentic respect for the audience's time is the only lasting advantage.
